Jen Schappert's time with Lehigh Women's Cross Country and Track teams is marked by her strong athletic performance and academic success. Schappert was a three-time first team All-Patriot League performer in cross country and was named Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for cross country as a senior in 2006. As a sophomore, Schappert claimed second place at the Patriot League Championship and emerged victorious at the Lehigh-Lafayette Dual Meet, all while maintaining a spot on the Dean's List. As a junior, Schappert continued to shatter expectations and records alike, becoming a First Team All-Patriot League performer in outdoor track and setting school records in the 5K and 10K.
Schapper made history as a senior in 2006, qualifying for the NCAA Championships, becoming the first female runner in Lehigh history to do so. She claimed titles and record-breaking times across various events, showcasing her versatility and dedication. On the track, Schappert's consistency was evident as she placed highly in Patriot League Championships and upheld her record-breaking performances. By the time of her graduation, she had left an indelible mark on Lehigh's record books across an impressive range of distances, from the indoor mile to the outdoor 10K.
