Rieker plunged for one touchdown and threw for two more scores and an opportunistic Lehigh defense, led by Greg Clark, recovered four Jacksonville State fumbles today to give the Engineers a 33‐0 victory in the Pioneer Bowl and the N.C.A.A. Division II national title.
Clark Saves a Score
Clark, who thwarted one Jacksonville State scoring threat in the second quarter by forcing a fumble, pounced on a Cedric Brownlee fumble at the Jacksonville State 7 late in the third period. On the next play, Mike Ford bounded in for the touchdown that gave Lehigh a 27‐0 lead.
